The purpose of research: to breed a winter wheat variety for zone of Polissya and north Forest-steppe of Ukraine, competitive on the yield and quality of produсtion, with higher resistant to the disadvantageous biotic and abiotic conditions of growing. Methods of research. Creating of the breeding material was conduct with the method of crossbreeding with drawing of the valuable forms. The breeding process was conduct with the "pedigree" method. The results and the novelty. The winter wheat variety Olgana is in the state trial now. Crossbreeding in the 230 combinations of hybridization was making. As a parental forms were using high-yield varieties and waxy varieties. 38 samples of triticum-aegilops hybrids ( Aegilops columnaris, Aegilops triuncialis, Aegilops ovata, Aegilops biuncialis, Aegilops tauschii, Aegilops triaristata, Aegilops cylindrica) were investigate in the plant nurseries. A splitting of length, compactness, colour of spike and a plant height were obtained. All hybrids were estimated at the yield and resistance to the main diseases. A new breeding material, which has high yield, seed quality and frost resistance at -14 and -18°С, was created. There are 31 lines in the control nurseries, which at the quality traits are higher than standard - Polesskaya 90. 4000 breeding samples and 400 lines of control nursery were selected and sown for the yield 2013.
