The research goal is to develop procedures of numerical studies of stressed-strained conditions (SSCs) and to assess the life of non-uniform structural elements of products for rocket and space technology (RST). The research methods are mechanics of deformable rigid body, structural mechanics, analytical and numerical methods of computational mathematics, comparative analysis. The results obtained. The special features of structural designs for Ukrainian current RST products having different pressure concentrators are analyzed. Concentrators in the form of cuts-hatches have been studied in detail. Problems of assessments of SSCs, the carrying capacity and life of plates and shells for RST structures are formulated. The main approaches to studies in strength are proposed (projection-iteration schemes of the finite-element method, which significantly decrease the computation time, an analysis of zones of plastic deformations, their changes in loading; the mutual effects of several cuts-hatches: closeness and the subsequent increase in common zones). Problems of assessments and prolongation of the life of RST structures from their special operational features (different preloads: storage, acceptance tests, repeated usage of RST products) are analyzed to assess their further safe operation.
