Aim - the influence of preparation conditions on the physico-chemical properties of nanocomposite electrocatalysts based on PbO2 and TiO2. Research methods - gravimetry, x-ray microanalysis, x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, XRD analysis, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was found that the electrodeposition from suspension electrolytes containing TiO2- and ZrO2-particles leads to formation of composite coating. Content of disperse phase particles in composite coating depends on preparation conditions and varies from 2 to 30 wt.%. Composite material is a PbO2-matrix with submicron and nanosized crystals, which contains particles of the disperse phase. Electrodeposition of Pt on Ti-substrate leads to formation of composite coating that consist of titanium oxides, metallic titanium, metallic platinum and intermetallic compound TixPty. Heat treatment leads to significant changes in surface morphology due to thermal diffusion of Pt both long the surfase and in the bulk of substrate or sintering. Surface morphology of Ebonex®/Pt-electrodes as well as their phase composition was shown to depend on the content of platinum, temperature and duration of treatment.
