In this work as protective coatings are chosen vacuum-arc multilayered Ti-TiN condensates, the coatings of composition TiCrN, Ti-Zr coatings alloyed by yttrium, and diamond materials in the form of polycrystalline films and single crystals. The theoretical description of processes of structure formation at an ionic irradiation of nanocristalline materials It is found by studying of electrochemical behaviour of Э110 alloy with multilayered Ti/TiN coatings, that drawing of such coverings leads to improved anti-corrosion properties of the surface Coatings which deposited from drip-free plasma streams possess higher mechanical characteristics in comparison with coatings which deposited from unfiltered plasma. Multicomponent TiAlYN coatings are received by from the filtered vacuum-arc plasma. Measurements have shown, that these coatings are characterised by high hardness (31-37) GPa and an elastic modulus (420-500) GPa. It is experimentally shown, that the best properties of protection against electrochemical corrosion possess TiAlYN coverings with concentration of yttrium 0,2 ат. %. Researches of TiN and (Ti-25Cr)N coatings have shown high mechanical and anticorrosive characteristics of coatings with the chrome additive. Doping of the system Ti-20Zr by yttrium results in crushing of the sizes of crystallites and weakens the radiation-induced increase in their sizes. It is shown, that the substrate temperature has the biggest influence on nucleation of a diamond phase. The formula describing dependence of internal stresses in coatings on energy of ions, deposited in a mode both constant, and pulse accelerating potential have been received.
