Above that, it provides a scientific interpretation of the pathways of literary de-/reconstruction of historical facts and concepts, the dialectics of similar and different in history representations typical of various cultural areas, the accomplishments of postcolonialism and multiculturalism, as well as of the notion of national identity, the strategies and poetological devices employed by the authors whose texts represent the modernist and (post)postmodernist paradigms. The diversity of literary data and a wide variety of issues discussed in the research work determined the complex methodology of the investigation whose authors recur to phenomenological and poststructuralist approaches as well as to comparative literature, cultural and gender studies. The multifacetedness of the investigation based on the most representative texts from various literatures, particularly those of Germany, Switzerland, France, Canada, Japan and England, in its turn, defined the strategies of scholarly reappraisal of history representations which manifest themselves in the collective monograph written during three years of research work.
