The processes of energy transfer in NaI:Tl crystal were investigated. The mechanism of scintillation process in NaI:Tl was determined. It was clearly established that scintillation flashes of NaI:Tl in the range of near room temperature were caused by intracenter electronic transitions in thallium ions.
