Harm of circulating zinc caused in the amount blast furnace was considered. Given the thermodynamic and thermal parameters specific to the top of the mine blast furnace were defined conditions for the formation of the liquid phase of zinc. Formation of zinc-containing dust waste, as well as their properties have been studied. The basic principles of the main methods of extracting zinc from waste dust were analyzed. Research of zinc leaching processes were conducted. Kinetic parameters of the process, as well as the selectivity and efficiency of transition of zinc into a solution were obtained as a result. Identifying promising further investigation of this method for use in zinc-containing waste recycling.
