This report presents an analysis of the current state of burning waste technology in Ukraine by the example of two incineration plants in the cities Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk, and the installation for thermal processing of solid waste with the previous sorting in Lyubotin town of Kharkiv region. It is shown that these plants make a negative impact on the environment and public health and in need of renovation with modern cleaning equipment , and with more effective equipment to produce thermal and electrical energy. During the analysis of performance specifications and technical documentation on the incineration of household waste is shown the need to consider the rules and regulations adopted by the European Union regarding the prevention of the negative impact of incineration plants on the environment and public health.
