As a result of research work it was studied the effect of heating conditions on the synthesis of nanostructures of boron nitride. It is shown that the increased synthesis temperature favors the formation of crystalline oxide and nitride nanostructures. The presence of oxygen as an impurity in the reaction zone results in formation of the powder material with low band gap. It was demonstrated that the characteristics of nanostructure BN are reflected in the nature of IR Fourier vibrational spectra.
