Purpose of study: To improve the methods of prevention and treatment of radiation lesions of the skin and radiation fibrosis using magnetic photon therapy. Methods and equipment: General clinical, histological, instrumental, biochemical, electron microscopy. Biological and electron microscopes, photoelectric colorimeter. Theoretical and practical results: The patterns of radiation fibrosis of the skin were established on the experimental model of local irradiation of rats at a dose of 50.0 Gy. It was proven that one of the preconditions and mechanisms of fibrosis development was chronic inflammation in the dermis and hypodermis which stimulated synthetic activity of fibroblasts with excessive accumulation of collagen against a background of imbalance between synthesis and breakdown and inhibition of colagenase activity. Novelty: For the first time, positive influence of PMT on the course of local radiation lesions of the skin was proven clinically and experimentally, the methods of prevention and treatment of radiation lesions of the skin and radiation fibrosis using magnetic photonic therapy were improved. Effectiveness of introduction : It was found out that photon magnetic effect on the effected area of the skin of rats reduced frequency of radiation dermatitis, delayed the terms of the first signs of fibrotization. In BC patients during radiation therapy PMT reduced severity of radiation induced skin reactions and frequency of their development. Area of application: medicine, radiobiology, radiation therapy.
