The new, generalized mathematical model of aerodynamics and heat- and mass-transfer in a drop-type cooling tower with oppositely directed spray cones was developed. The new iterative algorithm of integration of the system of equations of transfer processes was created. The algorithm of comparison of the variants of water distribution over the area of cooling-tower cross section was developed. It was shown that the uniform density distribution enables one to increase substantially the degree of cooling of circulating water that leads to a considerable fuel economy. Shemes of new, efficient power cooling towers of film- and drop-type were developed.
