It has been found that the use of MWCNTs in the nanocomposite electrocatalysts provides greater efficiency compared with counterparts based on acetylene black. It has been shown that modification of glassy carbon cathode with nickel metal coated graphite powder can significantly increase the speed of the process of hydrogen evolution from neutral solutions and to reduce the onset potential of the electrochemical reaction.
