Methods of optimal and quasi-optimal reception of UWB non-sinusoidal waves and the digital signal processing system of radiophysical information for the radar detection system of immobile objects coated with optically opaque layered-heterogeneous media have been developed using the atomic functions. Radiophysical equipment incorporated in the measuring stands that allow carrying out experimental investigations of properties of troposphere and soil has been developed and tested. In particular, it has been tested for studying the propagation effect of electromagnetic waves on errors of coordinate measurements by receivers of global satellite navigation systems and for getting the determination accuracy of thickness of subsurface layers of ground by GPR. New methods for describing statistics of unsteady semi-Markov processes and the modified software have been created on the basis of the atomic functions. Modified methods of the aperture synthesis in SAR, which improve the quality of radio images of objects on the ground, have been developed.
