Research objects are deaths from malignant tumours of male and female population in Ukraine and contaminated with radionuclides oblasts, data of these cases from National cancer-registry database. Aim of research is to analyse trends of cancer mortality in Ukraine and contaminated with radionuclides oblasts in 1986-2011. Research methods: medical informatics, descriptive epidemiology and mathematical statistics. Dynamic models and characteristics by age and gender of cancer mortality in Ukraine and contaminated with radionuclides oblasts in 1986-2011 and quality of personal records on cancer deaths in database have been studied. It was detected that in 1989-2010 cancer mortality level increased from 328,3 to 376,2 per 100 000 of male population (by 14.6 %) and from 272,1 to 351,6 per 100 000 of female population (by 29.2 %). The highest growth rate of mortality observed for cancer of urogenital organs in male population and for cancer of thyroid, breast, genital and urinary organs in female population. Most frequently male population died from cancer of lung, stomach, skin and prostate, for female population most frequently death caused cancer of beast, genital organs and skin.
