A new method of surgical treatment of regional metastases in patients with head and neck cancer using intraoperative detection of " sentinel " lymph node. Received immediate and short-term results showed that intraoperative definition of " sentinel " lymph node allows an individualized approach to neck dissection volume . Intraoperative detection of " sentinel " lymph node in 76 patients with head and neck cancer allowed to perform for almost half (47.4% ) of patients functional preserving selective neck dissection.
