It is shown that the reduction of the blood flow occurs in the corpus of the stomach, while the blood flow in the atrum does not decrease with age. However, at physiological aging retained sufficiently high activity of the proton pump (H-K- ATPase ) parietal cells, which maintains the level of acid output. It is found that the age-related decline of gastric blood flow is associated with decreased activity of local NO-synthase of gastric mucosa (GM). First shown the value of gastric blood flow disorders in reducing acid production in chronic gastritis (CG). In tlderly patients with gastric erosions does not amplifies aggressive factors (acidity, H.pylori), they also have no critical reduction of microcirculation in the gastric mucosa. The most likely factor causing the development of erosions in elderly patients is a violation of autonomic regulation (the lowest rates of the parasympathetic and sympathetic activity in this group). Proved the role of endothelial dysfunction in the development of disorders of gastric microcirculation in CG, which is due to decreased activity of NO-synthase and deficiency L-arginine . Exogenous administration of L-arginine leads to increase blood flow in patients with CG, and in apparently healthy lderly people L- arginine does not alter the performance of gastric blood flow. This demonstrates the important role of endogenous arginine deficiency in violation of gastric microcirculation in patients with CG. This gives grounds to recommend the use of L-arginine for correction gastric microcirculation in elderly patients with chronic hepatitis .
