The aim of the work - further development of physical chemistry of high-temperature capillarity of metal melts and methods of control of adhesion processes. Complex of new data is obtained, in particular by the first time wetting of sapphire, ZrO2 and Y2O3 by melts of pure Ti, Zr and V is studied, wetting of TiO2 and HfO2 by melts of pure metals (Cu, Ag, Au, Pd, Pt, Fe, Co, Ni, Sn, Ge, Si, Ti, Zr, V) is investigated. By the first time the effect of electric current passage through Ag-Cu-O melt - ZrO2-ceramics interface on wetting in the system is studied and improvement in anode wetting as compared to cathode is found. New data on surface tension and density of alloys inclined to amorphysation such as titanium nickelide and its copper alloys are obtained. The processes which take place in metal melt/nonmetal interface are analized using scientific approach including thermodynamic and atomic-electronic level. The results obtained promote more deep understanding of physico-chemical nature of high-temperature wetting and possibility to control capillary properties in metal/nonmetal solid systems and have wide practical output in a material science, metallurgy and foundry.
