The workstation is intended to improve security of modern information systems and the establishment of effective security mechanisms against external attacks. The main problem, which is to be solved by this R&D work, is the absence of instruments able to conduct automated functional analysis of program codes, identification and classification of functional purpose of different sections of code with automatic software testing for reliability. The principal result of the R&D work is a workstation for functional analysis of software. The main software components of the workstation are an interactive disassembler, decompiler, set of the debuggers, emulator for hardware platforms PowerPC and MIPS, as well as several others, a set of programs for automated search for vulnerabilities in binary program code and in network services and protocols, a set of programs for unpacking and decryption of code, including the firmware for various network and terminal devices, and a number of supporting software. The report contains rationale for the technical solutions of the workstation, a brief description of the software components which are implemented in the workstation, technologies and algorithms that they make use of, and methods for their usage.
