In the work, the technological parameters of the process were obtained including time of stirring, the magnetic field strength, the number of magnetic nanoparticles and the electric field strength. The sorption capacity of the modified biosorbent, its stability, magnetic properties and the fractal dimension of the surface of the biosorbent were investigated. It was found that the mechanism of giving the magnetic properties to biosorbents by methods of MHDS in crossed electric and magnetic fields is similar to the method of multivortex MHDS. The Cu2+ sorption capacity of the magnetically-labeled biosorbents obtained by multivortex MHDS and MHDS in crossed electric and magnetic fields are practically identical and differ within the error. The efficiency of biosorption of modified biosorbents were also investigated for iron ions in model solutions and real wastewater.
