The study used the combined method (theoretical and experimental). It was found that the currently heat transfer surfaces have reached their limit values for heat transfer, and a further increase in these parameters associated only with immoderate buildup of metal structures without a substantial increase in their efficiency. Showed the spectrum of mathematical relationships (Nusselt, Labuntsov, Prandtl, Hartmann) to describe the condensation processes and their ability to adapt to the mathematical description of condensation on the surface; showed the theoretical and experimental local heat transfer characteristics; shows the influence of the attack angle of the air flow on the local heat transfer characteristics. Found that the most effective attack angle is 75 ... 90 degrees. We are recommended the usage of corrugated pipes for the creation of new and modernization of existing air-cooled condenser.
