Subject of research - the hidden chromosomal instability in persons professionally exposed to ionizing radiation in the short-term cultures of peripheral blood lymphocytes . Purpose - using test "G2 - bleomycin sensitivity assay" explore the hidden chromosomal instability in peripheral blood lymphocytes of persons professionally exposed to ionizing radiation in short-term cultures. Voluntary cytogenetic survey formed a professional group of persons exposed to ionizing radiation in small doses during participation in the work on the transformation of the "Shelter " "Chornobyl NPP " into an ecologically safe system (15 men aged 19 to 59 years , mean age ( 39,1 ± 0,4) years). Found that in short-term cultures background frequency of chromosome aberrations in individuals from professional group did not differ significantly from that of the unexposed control group and consistent with the level of spontaneous chromosomal mutagenesis in human somatic cells . It is shown that under the testing bleomycin exposure in vitro in individuals from the professional group significantly increased the overall frequency of chromosomal aberrations with considerable interindividual variations of cytogenetic effect , the value of which does not depend on the values of baseline cytogenetic indices . Revealed that professional and unexposed groups differed significantly among themselves on basic cytogenetic indices ( mean group frequencies of aberrant metaphases and chromosomal aberrations , above background level of chromosomal aberrations), which were significantly higher in the professional group that can be the result of modifying effect of ionizing radiation on genetically caused human chromosomes individual sensitivity to the mutagen exposure. Scope - radiation genetics, oncology, occupational medicine . The degree of implementation - 2 articles, 2 abstracts. Product Description popup.authors Єрємеева М.Н. Дибська О.Б.
