The main objective of the work - to assess the selection samples lotus horned, which provide 4-5 t / ha of seeds scarce, disease-resistant, resistant to drought, from 6 to 9 points, suitable for use for different purposes in the difficult conditions of the steppe zone and their base to create drought resistant varieties lotus horned hay - of pasture type, adapted to the severe weather conditions of southern Ukraine. Created high-yielding, drought-resistant lotus horned, which provides stable reception of 35-40 t / ha of green mass and 0.4-0.5 t / ha of seeds, suitable for the use of multi-difficult weather conditions in the steppe zone of Ukraine. Highlighted various forms of lotus horned ripeness . Among the best forms of early maturing family take precedence over the standard of 11.2 - 60.1% in yield of green mass and 20.1 - 60% - for the harvest of dry matter. Among middle- forms best family exceed the standard of 12.6 - 19.4% yield of green mass and dry matter of the crop - 9.8 - 28.5% . In late- forms of culture growth in yield of green mass was 11,8-53,7 %, and for dry matter yield of 10.5 - 32.5% . Best family selection samples of various forms of ripeness lotus horned will be used to create new high-yielding varieties that are adapted to the harsh weather conditions of southern Ukraine.
