It is shown that usage of the plasmonic system with the subwave dimensions enables to provide effective interaction of the electromagnetic wave with the plasmonic system, to control its polarization and concentration of the electromagnetic energy. These peculiarities may be used both for studying the terahertz properties of the low-dimensional current carriers and for amplification or generation of the terahertz waves. It is shown that the high-field electron transport in the multi-well heterostructures with the delta-layers of shallow impurity in the barriers adjacent to the wells is determined by transport of carriers via the system of two parallel channels with considerably different electron mobilities. It is established that the current-voltage characteristics have a sub-linear behavior and their dependence on the temperature is determined by the dependence of the energy spectrum on the doping level and, consequently, on the filling states in the impurity delta-layer by electrons.
