Method - computer modeling and analysis of the phase diagrams of the magnetic states of steel pipe, experimental research on the physical model of pipeline. The methods of demagnetization of pipe ends, prepared for welding, was developed that allow to improve the quality of technology of demagnetization of pipelines by increasing the efficiency of demagnetization, stability of demagnetized state and reducing the time to demagnetization. Using the technology of demagnetization of main pipelines based on developed methods will provide a highly effective and stable in time demagnetized state of pipe ends before their joining for welding that would except the extra time loss to demagnetization due to its execution, regardless of other processing operations, and ensure reduction of total repair time of the pipeline at least for 20 minutes at each welded joint.
