Purpose of investigation: - theoretical investigation of the light pressure force on molecules in polychro-matic field of counter-propagating waves which are resonant to electronic-vibration transitions and molecules in polychromatic field of counter-propagating waves which are resonant to vibrational-rotational transitions in the ground electronic state. Method of investigation: - analysis of processes of the resonant interaction of laser radiation with matter using the Schr?dinger equation with modeling of the wave function using Monter-Carlo method. The description of the motion of molecules is based on the Newton's equations. Calculation of the averaged over the ensemble values of the velocity and the coordinate and their second momentums. Theoretical results: - It is shown, on the basis of calculation of the laser force on molecules, that the field of the consequences of the counter-propagating light pulses can form a trap for molecules, in which laser cooling may take place simultaneously with trapping. Temperature of molecules in the trap can reachs the Doppler limit of laser cooling (hundreds of microkelvins). The technique of the deceleration of molecules and subsequent cooling in the trap on the basis of interaction with the sequences of counter-propagation pulses is proposed. Novelty: - It is shown for the fist time, that the simultaneous cooling and trapping of the molecules by the same field of laser pulses is possible. Sphere of application: - spectroscopy of cold molecules, optical frequency standards.
