A theoretical investigation of the influence of external longitudinal electric field on the dielectric, piezoelectric, and elastic properties of the K1-х(NH4)хH2PO4 type systems has been performed. A microscopic model that takes into account the interactions between ordering pseudospins with switchable defect dipoles and rigid defects has been developed; using the example of Rochelle salt, the observed relaxational dispersion of the dielectric permittivity below 1 kHz has been described.
