The physical nature of ULF fluctuations in the Earth's magnetosphere, including the sources and mechanisms of their generation, is studied. The conditions for the occurrence of resonant ULF perturbations of different polarization are formulated and tested with the observations from spacecrafts. The relationship between the acoustic gravity waves and ULF magnetic field fluctuations in ionosphere is established on the basis of the analysis of satellite data. According to the results of theoretical modeling, the requirements for electromagnetic field measurements in ULF range will be formulated and the program of observations on four spacecrafts in the international project "Resonance" will be supplemented.
