The source consists of a chamber connected with doublet of electrostatic quadrupole lenses, water-cooled converter and capsule with window for X ray output. The design documentation for electron cannon for an X-ray source with voltage of 50 kV and current of 1 mA has been elaborated. A bench model of the multipurpose high-intensity X-ray source is being constructed.
