The object of the research is labour productivity. The algorithm and the model of labour productivity index has been developed; the calculations as to the estimation of the size and labour productivity index concerning the types of economic activity in 2010-2012 have been accomplished; as well as the influence of labour productivity index and labour market on GDP; the recommendations on economic policy as to the increase of labour productivity have been developed. Fact analysis, structural, index and economic and statistic methods have been used. The results of research are intended for the implementation in the department of macroeconomic forecast work.
