The object of research is the collection of samples of grains, cereals, legumes, technical, forage crops, vegetables , corn, potatoes , as well as trees and shrubs of the State Arboretum "Ustimovsky". The purpose of works is provided to determine the characteristics and regularities of the medium-term seed storage of agricultural collection samples cultures , providing medium-term storage ex-situ collections of cereals , legumes, cereals , industrial and forage crops, vegetables, corn and potatoes in the doublet store Ustymivka Experimental Station of Plant Production, ensuring receipt of certified seed material to the National repository for long-term storage. Scientific novelty of the results is to establish patterns of seed storage field crops, securing seed vault in the doublet Experiment Station and the National repository of Ukraine, the passport database management, and provide information to the gene selection and training institutions , and other users. Research conducted under the technique of the Yurjev Plant Production Institute NAAS, the Institute of Vegetable and Melon NAAS, Institute for Potato NAAS, Institute of Agriculture NAAS, the N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Industry, et al. As a result of work on the conservation and information management reference collections Ustymivka Experimental Station of Plant Production held: formation of a collection totaling 27 432 118 samples of agricultural cultures and 472 botanical species State Arboretum "Ustymivs'kyy"; field and laboratory studies of vigor and germination 1421 sample reproductions 1993-2001 different cultures, subspecies, environmental groups these cultures and has been found that the optimal mode for medium-term storage of seeds of buckwheat, millet, maize, mustard, fodder and vegetable crops are controlled conditions of the refrigerating chamber (2..40C) in a sealed container. For bean seeds, lupine, vetch, ranks, wheat, barley, oats , triticale storage medium can be performed at unregulated temperature conditions (+5...+150C) with mandatory placement in a sealed container. For both groups of samples is a prerequisite prior to drying seeds humidity specific to each species. Secured storage medium in a viable state 27430 samples of the gene pool of the National Genebank of plants of Ukraine, including 26333 seed samples. In the refrigeration chamber to regulate the conditions (2...40C) saved 15246 samples of the gene pool. In underground storage retained 625 samples of potato and vegetable crops 127; grown to resume germination and seed multiplication 12710 samples, resulting in monitoring germination 3000 samples ascertained satisfactory condition viability.
