Purpose - to create a system of research operations and certification of diamond jewelry inserts, which will ensure that they meet certain quality, as well as to set and display the nature of the stone. System aimed at protecting the interests of the state and consumers to obtain accurate information about the quality of diamond jewelry. Methods of study - literary and analytical, IR - Spectroscopy, Photoluminescent UV Topography, Katodoluminescent Topography, optical Microscopy, electron Microscopy. Results - it was found that the reconstruction of crystal anatomy by ontogenic growth patterns, photographic images of growth patterns, physical type identification as well as nature and characteristics of the diamond inserts (weight, cut parameters, color, clarity, defect distribution, the fluorescence characteristics, phosphorescence, etc.) make the basic and sufficient system of research operations to create a database of faceted diamond jewelry inserts for solving their certification. UV topographic of growth pattern is unique for each crystal and can be used for identification purposes similar to the " fingerprint ." Degree of implementation.
