Objective: improvement of scientific and information support of specialists, concerned with the issues in the field of children and adolescents health care. Methods: bibliometric, information and analytical, expert assessment, professional opinion poll (questionnaires), statistical, and qualimetric analysis. Theoretical and practical results: the study presents an analytical assessment of research works in terms of quantity, structure , topical focus , and participation of scientific institutions as well as quantitative and qualitative evaluation of information and innovative resources. Our investigations have established the involvement of the scientific communication means in spreading research results and the extent of their use in practical activity of professionals, concerned with health care of children and adolescents. A composite score of each type of scientific documents was given by the experts. Some methods for qualimetric assessment (basic, detailed and factor) of information and innovative resources have been elaborated alongside with an electronic version for counting, and proposals for improving scientific and information support of specialists have been developed. Novelty: quantitative and qualitative criteria for assessment of information and innovative resources have been substantiated, a method for their assessment has been proposed, methodological instructions concerning qualimetric assessment of scientific outcome of every individual research have been worked out, and a method for an operational analysis and a long-term monitoring of quality indices as regards publication and innovation components of scientific results has been designed. Effectiveness: stimulation of researchers' creative activity, an increase in the quality of information and innovative resources, their prestige and quotation; improvement of scientific and information support of specialists.
