Fundamental studies have extended the physical and chemical understanding of the features of the structure and properties of low-dimension systems such as nonplatinum catalytic materials for fuel cells and anode materials for lithium ion batteries and electrochemical capacitors. Research approaches for obtaining nanomaterials for electrochemical power sources were produced base on the investigations results. Development and application of the proposed method has high importance because it allows the directed synthesis of composite nanomaterials with desired electrochemical properties. There are presents the contemporary technology of production of nanomaterials based on sol-gel, thermal and plasma-vacuum methods for nanoparticles of the active material. The object of investigation are nanostructured systems, nanomaterials and nanotechnology for energy, such as new materials and technologies for fuel cells, electrochemical capacitors and lithium-ion batteries.
