It is shown that the collective molecular transport occurs in the presence of asymmetric substrate potential and nonzero symmetric component of the electron density distributions of molecules in the ground and excited states. It is found that, in complete analogy with adiabatic Brownian motor, the high efficiency of the Brownian pump is achieved by adiabatically fast or slow changes of intramembranous potential. It is shown that, unlike passive transport, in which the inertial correction always reduces the effective diffusion coefficients and mobility, inertia corrections for Brownian motors can play a constructive role by increasing the drift velocity, at least at high temperatures.
