The carried out investigations demonstrate the reality of creation of light-emitting structures in a material with graded-band-gap and possibility of appearance both of positive and negative electroluminescence. The research of heterojunctions on the basis of CMT with single quantum wells of different thickness and composition shows their prospect for fabrication of light emitters of IR range which operate at room temperature. It has been established the interrelation of real structure of surfaces of chalcogenide semiconductors with their electronic properties and the possibility of forming physical properties of CMT with using STM has been proved. With the use of modulation spectroscopy the peculiarities of piezophotoconductivity of crystals with layer structure have been studied. The multi-element detecting structures were produced and their properties were investigated.
