The compounds were hydrogenated at room temperature and 20 ... 25 bar H2 pressure. It is shown that the hydrogenation is not accompanied by the structure type changes. The electrochemical hydrogen sorption-desorption has been studied for the selected RE2MgNi9 compounds. New compounds RE(Co,Ni)4 (RE= Y, Nd) and their hydrogen sorption properties heve been stadied.
