Purpose - to identify a set of professionally important qualities of future professionals of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine and to develop guidelines for their formation during training. Methods: theoretical (analysis of the current scientific literature on the personality development in the profession and professional competence, the analysis of regulations governing the professional activities of staff of MOE, generalization of experimental data, classification, comparison), empirical (observation, interview, method of peer review, survey, psychodiagnostic examination), mathematical processing methods of experimental research. Scientific novelty lies in the fact that for the first time there were defined the methodological and methodical approaches to evaluating and predicting the effectiveness of professional activities of cadets of higher educational establishments of Ministry of Emergencies Ukraine, there were identified professionally important qualities that influence upon the effectiveness of the professional activity of the studied groups, there was revealed the level of formation and dynamics of the formation of professionally important qualities of cadets of different years of studуing, there were researched and developed guidelines for the formation of professionally important qualities in the preparation of future specialists of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine. The theoretical value of the works a synthesis of modern theoretical and empirical material on the issue of effectiveness of the staff of the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine, specification and deepening of the meaning of "professionally important qualities" in the context of improving the efficiency of training. The practical significance of the results is that the proposed practical recommendations can contribute to the professional psychological selection of applicants and cadets on fire safety specialty.
