We deal firstly with rape oil (ripol), rytsyn oil (rytsol) and their optimized compositions (compols), for instance ripol + 20 per cent of the mass of rytsol - riprytsol - 20, as well as with auxiliary oils - the genetically modified soy oil (soyeol - gm) and palm oil (palol). The subject of research is the formation of the structural and system - based comprehensive approach to the elaboration of methods, means and technological foundations for chemical-technological modification of the three-glyceride structure of oils which is imperfect from the viewpoint of functional properties and operational indicators. These oils are modified into more qualitative biosynthetic materials for the industry of fuel-lubricating materials (FLM) and other branches (materials science, chemical and petrochemical industries) which contribute to the comprehensive solution of resource, energy and ecological safety. In the paper the modern methods of identifying biosynthetic materials, determining their structure and properties are used: spectral methods, X-ray and infrared spectroscopy, raster spectroscopy, electronic microscope. All the famous range of tribotechnical (operational) tests of new oils and lubricants as well as oil compositions is applied in the research concerning their efficient friction, minimal wear, defining the criteria of wear resistance. It is convincingly proved that, according to their performance, new biomaterials are not worse than the best specimens of traditional fuels, and sometimes exceed them in certain indicators. Also, a complex of effective resource and energy saving, renovation of materials and energy carriers, ecological safety has been achieved, in particular in their biosolubility.
