We examined the possibility of employment of cytometrical, cytological, histochemical and histological methods of evaluation activity of herpesvirus infections in surgical patients. We worked out the methods of quantitative evaluation of blood cells; histological appreciation of biopsies of liver, digestive channel and experimental material; cytologic - urological and gynecological material. The aim was to work up morphological criterions of diagnostics of viral damage, elaboration of methods predicting the development of postoperative complications; increase the quality of vital diagnostics. Scope – surgical departments, laboratories of pathomorphology and cytology. The research was carried out on modern equipment with the use of modern methods and statistic analysis.
