The methods of the investigation are clinical, roentgenologic, laboratory (cytomorphometric, microbiological), statistical. The main principles of the treatment of the patients with generalized periodontitis were determined. The protocols of diagnostics and complex treatment of the generalized periodontitis considering the degree of the development and the clinical variant of the course of the disease were elaborated. The conception of the interdisciplinary approach in the complex treatment of generalized periodontitis, consisting in the consequent step-by-step perform of the methods of conservative, surgical, orthodontic and orthopedic treatment with the regular evaluation of the level of oral hygiene and the state of periodontal tissues at the stages of supportive therapy, was substantiated. The methods of the diagnostics of the state of periodontal tissues with computer program of periodontal sounding "Florida Proub" were perfected. According to the results of the multifactor correlative analysis it was found, that the most considerable factor among the local periodontogenic factors is the low level of oral cavity. The small vestibule of mouth is the most important non-microbe factor at the young age (in the patients with chronic catarrhal gingivitis and generalized periodontitis of the primary-1st, 1st degree), and in the patients with generalized periodontitis of the 2nd, 3rd degree - the secondary deformations of dentitions, developed due to periodontitis. The frequency of gingival recession in the patients with generalized periodontitis was revealed to equal 92.6 %. The need of the patients with generalized periodontitis in different kinds of stomatological aid was calculated considering the modern medical technologies for the first time. The additions to the Classifier of stomatological procedures, used at the diagnostics and treatment of patients with the diseases of periodontium are offered (the order № 507 dated 28.12.2002 of the MH of Ukraine). The clinic-diagnostic criteria for the estimation of the recommendations for the surgical therapy, dental implantation, orthodontic and orthopedic treatment in the patients with generalized periodontitis at the II phase (reconstructive-corrective therapy) of the complex treatment, were grounded. By the findings of the clinic-laboratorial studies the effectiveness of the innovative technologies (ozonotherapy, laser curettage of periodontal pockets, photodynamic therapy) in patients with the diseases of periodontium, was displayed. GENERALIZED PERIODONTITIS, DIAGNOSTICS, RISK FACTORS, PROTOCOLS OF TREATMENT, GINGIVAL RECESSION, OZONOTHERAPY, LASER THERAPY.
