Study purpose: to determine the psychophysiological mechanisms of suicidal behavior formation in patients with mental disorders, and on this basis, the treatment and prevention methods for suicidal behavior were developed. Results of research: it is proved that the formation of suicidal behavior, in patients with various mental and behavioral disorders, is carried out by the consistent psychophysiological mechanism. It is shown that the violation of consciousness, which occurs due to depletion of the main nervous processes, is a mandatory element of suicidal genesis.
