Purpose: setting the unification level of branch documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements regarding the composition and location of requisites, as well as the names of parameters in these forms on the analysis of the flow of publications of the unified forms of records (UFD). Main objectives: to examine the total volume flow of publications of UFD and its dynamics for 1997-2012 and to find out: quantitative indexes («productivity») in the development of UFD by state authorities and central institutions in those years; what pars of office files were mostly used in the branch unification; how were the requisites of the branch UFD arranged and what were the most common errors made during unification, i. e. during the arrangement of UFD, in its model form and specific requisites, which are the most used ways to unify the texts of official documents (coherent text form, questionnaire, stencil, table, their combinations); what recommendations, comments and instructions are available in the UFD to explain how to fix the information in the forms. Methods of the research: general scientific (simulation, method of system analysis and synthesis, typological) and special techniques (document study systematization). Theoretical and practical results: were produced findings on the unification level of the branch documents in Ukraine in years 1997-2012. Novelty of the research: formerly the system of unified documentation was not the object for study from the standpoint of document study. Scope of implementation: establishment of official documents in various branches and activity areas of Ukraine. Efficiency of implementation: positive effect may have prepared on the basis of the report guidelines on how to design UFD as applications to regulatory acts registered by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
