Aim - to exploing the possibilities for changing the functional composition of carbon nano-objects in the reduction processes of graphite oxide. Methods of investigation - synthetic, kinetic methods, NMR, SEM elemental analyzes. The comparison of the effectiveness of reducing the graphite oxide with different chemical nature was made. It was founded that 9,10 dihydroanthracene is one of the most effective from well-known reducing agents. Its usage allowed us to obtain graphene-like particles with the atomic ratio of O/C, reaching 0.03. It was shown that the morphology of the particles obtained in the reduction of graphite oxide depending on the nature of the reductant and the selected extractant. Used methods are quite friendly to the environment. Such graphene-like particles can be used in creation of the novel polymer composite materials with improved properties. Scientific novelty of the study is that we have found new approaches to obtain grapheme-like particles by reduction of graphite oxide. The practical significance of this work is that the results can be used in large-scale preparation of graphene-like particles with a high carbon content, which is near to theoretical.
