Developed is a method for determining takeoff weight of multipurpose civil light aircraft with short takeoff and landing on the preliminary design phase, which was tested in the process of calculation of the mass of the developed aircraft. It was found that the error of calculation of designed relative masses of structures and take-off weight with the corresponding masses of light aircraft being operated by using the new method does not exceed 5%. The influence of the main relative parameters (aspect ratio, taper ratio; relative thickness, takeoff weight) of multipurpose civil light aircraft of short takeoff and landing on its aerodynamic performance. The characteristic speeds of horizontal steady flight are determined. Developed is a pilot project of the long distance passenger aircraft to carry 150 passengers at a distance of 3000 km. The influence of specific load and geometric characteristics of the wing on the relative weight of the structure, required thrust-to-weight and takeoff weight of the aircraft is searched. A method for integrated analysis of the stress-strain state of the structural elements of the nose section of fuselage by using the CAD / CAM / CAE systems is developed. The analysis of the obtained results in terms of strength and durability of the nose section of fuselage of transport category aircraft is carried out.
