Aim - molecular design, synthesis and spectral studies of polymethine dyes (PD) and calixarenes able to form nanoparticles J-aggregates; exploring the possibility of creating a "hybrid" materials based on J-aggregates and inorganic materials. The aim is achieved by means of NMR, IR, electronic, atomic force, XRD and quantum chemical (semiempirical and ab initio) calculations. Novelty - synthesis methods of PD capable in different environments and on the surface of inorganic nanoparticles to form J-aggregates; structural features found PD promoting self-organization of molecules in the J-aggregates individual or by complexation with calixarenes; explored ways of converting light energy into aggregates and nanostructures PD and calixarenes; developed methods for the synthesis of new conjugated organic systems on the platform of calixarenes, including amphiphilic; regularities between the molecular structure of the dyes and their tendency to self-organize to form a J-aggregates in liquid medium, solid solutions (polymers) and on crystal surfaces. The theoretical basis laid for the creation of nanostructures J-aggregates based on the PD and calixarenes, which allowed the development of "hybrid" nanostructures are intensively absorb light in the visible and near infrared region of the spectrum.
