Theoretical and practical value of research: Methodology of improvement of the varieties selected by the Institute of Feeds and Agriculture of Podillya of the NAAS and maintain their billet purity on the basis of mass selection of the best plants by feed and seed productivity in the nurseries for the variety improvement, which were founded to restore economically valuable properties of varieties of forage crops. On the basis of the developed schemes of primary seed breeding there was initiated production of the pre-basic seed of new highly productive varieties of perennial legumes and cereal grasses and annual forage crops. Breeding in primary chains of seed production of the pre-basic and basic seed of 64 varieties of perennial grasses, grains, legumes and other forage crops aimed at seed production at the specialized seed farms of the NAAS, Vinnitsa and other oblasts was conducted.
