Information × Registration Number 0214U005578, 0111U003645 , R & D reports Title To develop technologies of cultivation of new sugar crops with high biomass potential under conditions of the Forest-Steppe for bioethanol production. popup.stage_title Head Chernelivs'ka Еlena Аlexsandrovna, Registration Date 29-01-2014 Organization Institute of Feed research and Agriculture of Podillya popup.description2 Research objective: to develop and justify technologies of growing sugar beet and sugar sorghum of the most productive varieties and hy-brids for ethanol production. Research object: sugar sorghum, sugar beet, weeds. Research methods: field trials, laboratory agrochemical research, analytical generalization of experimental data, mathematical and statistical method - to assess data reliability, comparative and cal-culative method - to determine economic efficiency of the develop-ments. Technology of sugar beet cultivation for bioethanol production requires application of fertilizers at the rate of N240P180K240 in sugar beet hybrids Lenora and Leonard and provides 181.2-199.5 GJ/ha of conventional energy or 6155.3-6778.4 l/ha of conventional biofuels. Depending on the rate fertilizer application there has been obtained from 4815.7 to 6778.4 l/ha of biofuel and 141.7-199.5 GJ/ha of conventional energy. Technology of sugar sorghum cultivation for ethanol production requires sowing with 30 cm inter-row space, appli-cation of the combined system of wed control through the application of herbicide PrimExtra Gold 720 SC before sowing + Prima in the till-ering stage of plant that provides weed control at the level of 97.1%, green mass yield - 84.5-89.5 t/ha, output of conventional energy 241.0-254.1 GJ/ha and biofuel - 8183.8-86301 l/ha.
