We singled and argued the structure, essential sides, criteria of formed analytical competence, we identified key directions of the process of their development while studying at higher educational institutions. On the basis of the constructed model of knowledge acquirement in the process of students' professional training in the major "Economic Cybernetics" we have presented a model of competence formation, developed a system of methods, techniques and means of analytical competence formation for future economists- cyberneticists.
