A research objective is an establishment of the content of oxide admixtures with their binding in less active forms by means of alloying additives - lanthanides sulfides, and also a finding of ways of full removal of admixtures. By methods of IR spectroscopy, spectroscopy of diffuse reflectance, the chemical analysis and the X-ray phase analysis establish the content of admixture at level of 3-7 wt. %. In the samples received in the various ways, is established. Consecutive heat treatment of samples of zinc sulfide by means of antimony sulfide and germanium results in removal of zinc oxide admixture that makes possible improving technological properties of a film-forming material considerably. The similar approach is applied to zinc selenide and to lead telluride.
