The research object - the complex of documents collected in the radio contaminated Ukrainian Polissia regions in the period of 1994-2003 yrs. The research objective: rescue and preservation of the documental cultural heritage of the population injured by the Chornobyl disaster. The research methods - special processing of the documents for the purpose of their preservation and availability for researches; methodical use of the historical source studies for classification documents and their identification; informational analysis and synthesis for the research and systematization of the documental complex. 7140 archival documents processed and explored; 695 suspended archivings formed including development of their primary register, as well as the analytical description of the official and personal documents created. The academic novelty is in the fact that the documental complex, which has been created in the process of exploration of the abandoned after the disaster o the Chornobyl nuclear station villages, is being studied for the first time. The new scheme of the documental fund processing available for the use in specific conditions of its acquisition has been developed.
